Duties and responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Kitchen Coordinator, the Student Dietitian is responsible to:
- Prepare special dietary requirements for campers and staff including:
-Vegetarian diets
-Diabetic diets
-Therapeutic diets
-Allergin-free diets
-PKU diets
-Calorie reduced diets
-Other diets as required
- Work in conjunction with the Camp Nurses, Administration and Counsellors
- Assist with daily, general kitchen duties
- Other duties as specified by the Kitchen Coordinator
Qualifications:
- Completed 2nd year in College of Nutrition and Pharmacy
- Fundamental knowledge of nutrition and dietary conditions
- Ability to work with people with varying abilities
- Effective interpersonal, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Oral communication skills
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Positive attitude
Final candidates are required to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search at their cost.
