Local Coordinators are post-secondary students who support a group of up to 10 exchange participants during the summer. Local Coordinator responsibilities include: recruiting youth, hosts, and employers in their community; organizing activities for participants, completing administration tasks as assigned, participating in local community development, as well as maintaining good relationships among participants, host families, employers and other stakeholders. Local Coordinators will work closely with their Support and Regional Coordinator to help resolve any conflicts that arise within their community. Successful candidates will have previous experience working with youth, possess strong communication and organizational skills, and are highly responsible and reliable individuals.
