Doepker Industries Ltd. is a leading manufacturer of highway semi-trailers in western Canada with 500 employees in manufacturing facilities in Moose Jaw, Saskatoon and Annaheim, Saskatchewan.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
To support quality manufacturing operations by:
- Manage assigned supplier accounts
- Consistently purchase quality materials for best value in correct quantities that are delivered to the right location on time
- Increase operational efficiencies by keeping inventory levels, purchase price, freight and other carrying costs at a minimum
- Negotiate agreements and rates with carriers that optimize freight expenses
- Manage material flow to optimize inventory levels and avoid waste
REQUIREMENTS:
- A bachelor's degree or college diploma in a related field (business administration or commerce) or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum one year work experience in an administrative or customer service role is preferred; new or recent graduates are encouraged to apply
- Experience related to supply chain management or in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset
- Computer proficiency (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint) is required; experience with computerized ERP or purchasing systems is an asset
