Reporting to the Customer Service Office (CSO) Manager, this position is responsible for the following:
Assist Insurance and Research and Development agrologists in the delivery of a number of field research projects that relate to adjusting procedures.
Assist adjusters in the completion of customer inspections, including identifying crop disease, insect damage and other causes of loss.
Complete field inspections and detailed plant counts, ensuring inspection documents are completely neatly and accurately.
Measure bins and acreages accurately.
Update agronomy resource manual.
Prepare adjuster work within the customer system, as assigned by the CSO Manager.
Answer customer inquiries made directly to the office on programs delivered by SCIC in a timely manner.
Contact producers for the purpose of gathering information or conducting projects.
Complete miscellaneous clerical duties such as correspondence, reports, batching, mail, filing, supply need identification and requisition, as required.
Travel extensively as required.
Be a contributing member to the CSO team.
The knowledge and skills required for this position are acquired through through enrollment in a post-secondary Agriculture program. The successful candidate must be returning to school in the fall.
