Description

AMC is a industry leader in large-scale mining services and industrial construction.  We are currently accepting applications for future opportunities on industrial construction projects located throughout Saskatchewan, Alberta and Ontario.

Responsibilities Include:
Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
Participation in the preparation of procedures & permits and following of procedures & permits in the course of their work.
Install, align, troubleshoot, maintain, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces, mechanical power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, programmable logic controls and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery.
Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery.
Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery.
Level and grout equipment foundations for machinery or work with others to construct foundations.
Use appropriate hand and power tools and welding equipment.

Who You Are:
Industrial mechanic or millwright trade certificate.
Completion of a three to four year apprenticeship program is preferred.
Experience in mining and construction environments is preferred.
