Description

Westar Services is a company based out of Prince Albert, SK that
specializes in forestry, transportation of green energy, aggregate
processing and earthwork. Westar has a challenging opportunity for
a highly motivated, energetic and responsible Engineering Student
who has completed their 3rd full year of studies.  

The main role in this position is to provide support to the
Companys Operations Engineer (P. Eng.).  A student specializing in
Mechanical Engineering is preferred. However, applications from all
Engineering fields will be accepted.

Responsibilities (but not limited to):
-Design and implement cost-effective equipment modifications to
help improve safety and reliability
-Develop, test and evaluate theoretical designs
-Manage projects using engineering principles and techniques
-Plan and design efficiency processes
-Use research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills,
particularly mathematical modeling and computer-aided design
-Provide overall analytical support to the Operations Engineer
-Analyze trends and maintain equipment database
-Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders

Qualifications:
-Completed 3rd year of Engineering Studies from an
accredited University
