Description

Located in Saskatoon and reporting to the Director, Logistics, responsibilities for this position include the following:

1.Proven ability to monitor and troubleshoot refrigeration systems, collaborate with contractors and make recommendations to the refrigeration system operations.
2.Oversee the maintenance and repair of the warehouse and property to ensure a high level of operating efficiency and image.
3.Manage the entire preventative maintenance program to assure maintenance and repair of all power equipment including records management, inspections and repairs of the facility.
4.Conduct regular inspection tours and respond to issues noted and brought up by warehouse personnel.
5.Analyze the needs of the warehouse by reviewing equipment to identify the need for possible replacement and budget accordingly.
6.Responsible for managing contractors and suppliers by requesting competitive pricing/quotes, selecting and managing work to stay within the scope of the budget.
7.Deal with suppliers, vendors and contractors in the repairs of the facilities.
8.Oversee and monitor the building operation budget for the Saskatoon warehouse.
9.Provide direction and guidance to lead a team of maintenance employees.

The successful candidate will have a 4th Class Power Engineer with a Refrigeration Certification or Refrigeration Engineers certificate, along with 4-6 years of facility and equipment maintenance.  Previous experience supervising union employees and working with a large operating budget would be considered an asset.  A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
