The German Cultural Centre is searching for a dynamic individual to be the next General Manager. The GCC is comprised of a restaurant and lounge seating of approximately 110 and two event halls that can accommodate a total of 500. We have a staff of approximately 50 with a core management staff of 5.
The individual must possess excellent knowledge of the restaurant, beverage and events industry.
Job Duties:
*Managing staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties.
*Direct and coordinate activities of departments concerned with production, pricing, sale and distribution of product.
*Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
*Establish and implement departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with board members, organization officials and staff members as necessary.
*Determine staffing requirements, interview, hire and train new employees, or oversee those personnel processes.
*Monitor businesses and agencies to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed services while staying within budgetary limits.
*Oversees activities directly related to making products or providing services.
*Direct and coordinate organizations financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency.
*Plan and direct activities such as sales promotions, coordinating with the other department heads as required.
*Direct all department heads.
