Description

The Arena Operator/Motor Coach Driver is a dual position providing day-to-day operation and maintenance of the JRMCC Arena and JRMCC Sports & Cultural Grounds and operate motor coach to transport passengers while offering exceptional customer service.

REQUIREMENTS:
-Must have 2A Driver's License and Grade 12 or equivalency;
-Arena Operator 1 certification or ability to attain one, and Arena and park/ball diamond maintenance;
-Custodial experience is an asset;
-Valid Class 5 driver's license, and related documentation (oral and written test, road test and a satisfactory medical);
-Motor coach experience is a definite asset;
-Customer service and must have acceptable reading, written and communication skills;
-Ability to work flexible hours and work with minimal supervision;
-Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively;
-Must meet physical and medical requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Provide general maintenance and upkeep of arena and sports grounds facility;
-Provide daily janitorial duties including sweep, wash floors and upkeep of washrooms and dressing room facilities;
-Operate and maintain arena, sports grounds machinery including Zamboni, lawn mowers, small machinery and hand tools;
-Provide ice making, maintenance and repair services, field maintenance and upkeep services;
-Assist with boiler and refrigeration systems operations and maintenance;
-Provide setup for events and functions;
-Ensure foot traffic safety through snow and ice, and facility is in appropriate appearance by sweeping entry ways and walkways;
-Ensure appropriate appearance of property by cutting grass and tending grounds;
-Operate bus by loading, unloading and transporting passengers;
-Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations;
-Inspect vehicles before departure and complete log books and repots accurately-follow specified time schedules;
-Report delays, mechanical problems and accidents;
-Direct passenger during emergency evacuation procedures.
