HSAS, a union representing more than 3600 specialized Health Care Professionals, is looking for an Executive Director to lead its labour relations and administrative staff and to manage the labour relations services provided to its members. The position reports directly to the Executive Council and is a key player in in the development of strategies to better serve and represent the members. The incumbent will be accountable for improving communication with all of HSAS's stakeholders and leading the negotiations for Provincial Collective Agreements.
As a representative of the Association, the ideal candidate's actions will be compatible with HSAS values and must possess strong communications skills. A bachelor's degree in commerce, labour relations, human resources or equivalent is an asset, along with a minimum of five years in a management position and a minimum of five years of relevant labour relations or union experience. Demonstrated leadership skills, strong interpersonal skills and a solid understanding of labour relations are required as well.
