Will provide an alternate approach to the well-being of the child, family and community based on the development of prevention services.
Qualifications:
Certificate in Social Work (CSW/CISW) & 24 month experience in related field OR
Bachelor of Social Work OR
4 year University undergraduate degree in a related discipline & 18 months experience OR
Grade 12 with a min. of 5 years experience in a related field
Current Criminal Record Check incl. Vulnerable Sector Check
Current and certified prohibited drug test report
Valid Class 5 SK Drivers License, and own a reliable vehicle and provide driver's abstract.
Requirements:
Knowledge and understanding of the Child and Family Services Act
Able to maintain a secure filing system
Knowledge of management principles including communication principles & protocols.
Able to apply knowledge of programs & services with respect to the Federal, Provincial and Ocean Man First Nation that would contribute to the well-being of the First Nation.
Have excellent communicationn skills.
Ability to take direction & work with minimal supervision.
Well organized, punctual, dependable, reliable & ensure that all confidential matters remain confidential.Ability to utilize computer software & hardware programs.
Able to make decisions using sound judgment in difficult or ambiguous situations.
Demonstrated organizational & time management ability to maintain accurate & current information & documentation relating to files.
Able to identify risks and develop an action plan to ensure the safety & well-being of children & familites.
Able to monitor compliance of the objectives of family plans with clients & families.
Able to work some evenings & weekends
Preference will be given to Aboriginal applicants.
