Description

The City of Swift Current is accepting applications for Summer Student Employment for the period of May to August 2015 in the following areas:
. Airport
. Art Gallery
. Chinook Golf Course
. Cultural Festivals
. Fairview Pool
. HUB Youth Centre Programs
. Information Technology
. Light & Power
. Museum and Archives
. Parks
. Parks and Play Programs
            
Students should clearly indicate the following information on their application:  
. Their area of post-secondary study;
. Which of the above departments they are interested in; and
. Any previous related work and/or volunteer experience.

To be eligible for summer student employment students must:
. Be able to commence full-time (40 hours/week) work in May;
. Be enrolled in post-secondary education at a University, Technical Institute or College for the fall of 2015; and
. Submit a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.  

All Young workers (14 and 15 years old) must provide the following:
. A copy of their Young Worker Readiness Certificate;
. Proof of age;
. Written consent from a parent or guardian.

Students previously employed by the City must re-apply in order to be considered.

Students interested in working for the City of Swift Current for the 2015 Summer Season must submit a resume and references.
