Adecco is recruiting for a full time permanent Senior Drafting Technician job on behalf our client whose headquarters is based in Biggar, Saskatchewan.  Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will liaise with the engineering team and the Production Manager on all projects and will successfully manage the full cycle drafting process.

The Senior Drafting Technician job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
-Drafting duties which include drafting and prepare layout drawings of the given structures, components and devices, producing and amending draft designs and diagrams according to the given specifications
-Using specialized 3D software including Auto Desk Inventor 2015 and Vault to prepare drawings
-Liaising with colleagues on the shop floor to understand what they need for drawings
-Strong analytical skills and an ability to problem solving as issues arise  

Qualifications include:
-Ideally 7 years' experience working in a similar role with another tank manufacturer or within a manufacturing environment
-Experience in both shop and field erected tanks is a definite asset
-Sound knowledge in UL and API codes
-Experience with Autodesk Inventor 2015 with Vault is a MUST.

This is a hands on position and a good deal of time must be spent understanding production techniques specific to this company. Therefore this role will require you to physically spend time on the production floor and gain production knowledgeable. This position is located in the company's head office in Biggar, Saskatchewan where all engineering, engineered drawings, project management and manufacturing are completed.  This role will require the candidate to relocate to Biggar and assistance may be provided by the employer.
