Description

Duties and responsibilities:
-    Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of the drivers that operate City Transit, Access Transit and Client Transit Services
-    Provide a dispatch service for Access Transit
-    Provide oversight for the procurement and maintenance of the fleet of vehicles
Duties include:
-    Supervises and schedules drivers to ensure a safe and efficient service
-    Hires, trains and coaches employees in consultation with the Regional Director
-    Schedule driver shifts and passenger trips
-    Schedule maintenance to vans and buses to keep fleet in good operating condition
-    Enforce all safe operating rules
-    Maintain a positive relationship in the community with key stakeholders
-    Prepare work reports and budgets
-    Dispatches the Access Transit service
-    Responsible for creation and maintenance of a Transit Procedures Manual
-    Responsible for driving transit vehicles on an as needed basis
Qualifications:
Education:
-    Class IV License
-    Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration or Commerce
Experience:
-    Previous experience in preparing and revising work schedules for multiple staff members
-    Previous experience working within and controlling budgets
-    Marketing experience to engage stakeholders to increase ridership
-    Mechanical knowledge to ensure optimal vehicle operation
   Skills:
-    Possess people and customer service skills
-    Possess good mechanical aptitude/knowledge
-    Possess good reporting and recording skills
-    Posses knowledge of transportation system models and service and how it should work
-    Possess knowledge of the city
-    Possess advanced computer skills and knowledge
-    Possess the ability to schedule multiple drivers for multiple shifts.
