Shift Information: Nights
Hours of Work: In a 4 week rotation: 7 shifts of 12.00 hours

Job Summary:
EMT's report to the Director of Emergency Medical Services and when on site in a facility to the designated Supervisor/Charge Nurse/Facility Manager. EMTs provide direct pre-hospital, emergency and patient care. EMTs working in Hospitals, Health Centers or any other Sunrise Health facility across Sunrise Health Region work in a supra-numary capacity. They may work in many departments within these facilities.
Experience:
Ability to respond to all client's medical injuries and illnesses.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
    Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
    CMA Accredited Pre-Hospital Care Program at the Primary Care Paramedic (PCP/EMT) level
    CPR-HCP (Level C)
    Clean Driver's Abstract
    EMT (PCP) certificate from an approved educational institute.
    GAP Training to NOCP 2011 Standards
    International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) - Basic
    Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP)
    Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at the PCP/EMT level
    Valid Class 4 drivers license

    Ability to work with people in a health care environment with professionalism and respect
    Computer skills including Microsoft Office word processing and spreadsheets, email and internet
    Critical thinking skills
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    Good interpersonal skills utilizing sensitivity and courtesy when dealing with patients, staff and physicians
