Description

The YMCA of Saskatoon is currently seeking a highly motivated and responsible individual to fulfill the Program Coordinator position for our Community Partnership Programs taking place at Pleasant Hill Community School.

Our Community Partnership Programs are designed to get members of the Pleasant Hill Community active and engaged and has been developed through a partnership by the YMCA of Saskatoon, Pleasant Hill Community School, and Public Health. Programs are aimed at all members of the community, both children and adults and include physical activity, fitness and cultural programs. Programs run after school and evenings Monday-Wednesday during the school calendar.

The successful candidate will need to be able to plan and implement all programming and activities, coordinate instructors and volunteers, engage members of the community, and report to key stakeholders. This is a part-time position starting immediately and will conclude June 12, 2015. The Program Coordinator will be required to work fifteen hours per week after-school hours and evenings; some daytime work may be required.

Responsibilities:
- Planning and implementing programs
- Keep accurate attendance records
- Coordinate instructors and volunteers
- Reporting to key stakeholders
- Keep accurate inventory list of supplies
- Provide a safe and caring environment where community members can experience new activities
- Provide learning opportunities by focusing on skill development and fun
- Be approachable and encourage feedback of the program
- Coordinating special events and fundraisers
