Description

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the scheduling and execution of all warehouse shipping/receiving operations and managing inventory.

SPECIFIC DUTIES
    Create shipping manifests for daily shipping requirements
    Schedule docking/transfers/pickups
    Generate pick lists for daily schedule
    Picking and shipping of orders in a timely fashion
    Responsible for handling of all freight claims
    Obtaining and negotiating best freight rates available
    Supervise warehouse staff with guidance from the Branch Manager
    Maintain order and cleanliness in the warehouse
    Abide by all safety policies and procedures and ensure safety of warehouse employees
    Perform monthly workplace inspections and send to the HR Manager
    Perform inventory counts
    Work in conjunction with the Branch Manager to ensure inventory accuracy
    Assist in the hiring of warehouse staff
    Training and development of warehouse staff
    Other duties as assigned

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
    Forklift license required
    2+ years of previous warehouse supervisory experience
    Excellent communication skills; must be able to work well with others
    Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines
    Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision
    Strong leadership skills
    Strong attention to detail
    Must demonstrate leadership in meeting short-term and long-term Company objectives
    Basic computer knowledge required in Microsoft Office
    Ability to lift 50+ lbs. required
    Some overtime may be required
