The City of Prince Albert invites applications for the permanent position of Innovation & Information Technology Manager.  Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, the Innovation & IT Manager is responsible to plan, coordinate, and manage the services provided by the Information Technology Department, striving to innovatively improve the delivery of services provided by the City.  

Behaviours and skills that are central to success in the position include:  Proven experience in dealing with organizational change, the ability to identify business opportunities and take the necessary actions to realize them, the ability to demonstrate effective leadership, coaching and mentoring for staff in the work unit, and the ability to plan and manage projects and programs.

The successful applicant will have a University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline and have at least three years management experience leading staff.  The individual will also have strong knowledge of the concepts, practices, and techniques of the relevant areas of managing and Information Technology department, including telecommunications, networks, computer applications and databases.
