Description

The Lac La Ronge Indian Band Child & Family Services Agency (ICFS) is responsible for the delivery of child and family services to the six communities of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band. The Agency is accredited through CARF, and is an independently incorporated entity.

Currently, La Ronge ICFS is seeking a Child Protection Worker to join their team covering La Ronge, Grandmothers Bay, Stanley Mission, Hall Lake, Little Red, Sucker River and Pinehouse, Saskatchewan.  

In this front-line role, you will be responsible for investigating all complaints of child abuse and neglect to determine the need for intervention services with a view to preserving the family.  

To be successful in this role you must have a BSW or BISW along with Criminal Record, Child Abuse and Drivers Abstract Clearance.  

Knowledge of the Child & Family Services Act, strong communication abilities (verbally and in writing), and the ability to apply tact and diplomacy when dealing with sensitive issues will also make you a strong candidate for this role.  

La Ronge ICFS is offering an attractive salary of $44,000-$60,000 per annum for the right candidate, based on qualifications and experience, along with the following:

- Medical, Dental, Vision, and Pension;
- 3 weeks of vacation to start PLUS receive 1 day off in lieu every month;
- Receive a $1000 retention bonus after 365 days upon annual performance review (retention bonus increases 3% each year);
- $2,500 to new hires with a BSW or BISW after 1 year;
- Receive an appreciation bonus when you reach 5,10,15, and 20 years of service; and
- Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate!
