Description

Prolium is currently seeking a motivated Engineering / QC Manager to join our team of professionals based out of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. You will be part of our Operations Department, working with the Operations Manager, Project Leads and company Draftsman to provide engineering designs, Construction drawing packages, Bill of Materials, Calculations and Inspection and Test Plan packages for all our major projects. The position will also act in an oversight role of our corporate Quality Management System to ensure that it is fully implemented throughout the company and in compliance with all applicable codes and client specifications.

The position will require periodic travel to various locations across Canada to provide oversight and training of field QA / QC personnel on job sites and to audit and sign off on turnover packages upon completion of work. Trips will typically be no longer than a week in length and will make up approximately 10-15% of the work hours on a yearly basis.

The successful candidate will be working with our Operations Team and will possess;

- A Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Civil or Structural Engineering
- Professional status with APEGA or APEGS
- A valid drivers license
- Experience working with API 650 / 653 would be considered an asset
- Experience with ASME IX, CWB and ABSA would be considered an asset
- Experience with Finite Element Modelling would be considered an asset
- The discipline to consistently meet deadlines

The breakdown of your duties will include

- Project Design work including; Drawing Packages, Material List, ITP Packages, Calculations (65%)
- QA / QC Site Visits (10%)
- Company QA / QC and Engineering Procedure Management and Maintenance (15%)
- Business Development / Improvement Design Initiatives (5%)
- Miscellaneous Task As Required (5%)
