The Saskatchewan Structural Sciences Centre (SSSC) is an integrated multidisciplinary analytical facility that provides training to undergraduate students, graduate students and other research staff. The SSSC provides users with access to more than twenty major state of the art instruments. The Centre serves the University, public sector and private industry researchers in basic sciences and engineering as well as fostering multidisciplinary collaborations in diverse fields, ranging from agriculture, to health sciences and engineering.
The NMR suite consists of three 500 MHz Bruker Avance NMR spectrometers that are equipped with an array of probes that include a HR MAS, and a micro -solids probe, as well as a liquid chromatograph. The NMR suite also includes a 600 MHz Bruker Avance NMR spectrometer with cryoprobe, microprobe and a broad band room temperature probe. The Mass Spectroscopy suite consists of a LC/MS/MS QToF, and GC-ToF. An experienced NMR spectroscopist and a Mass Spectrometrist are on staff.
