The city of Weyburn invites application for the position of:
       Full Time Seasonal, Fun in the Sun Day Camp Program Leader.

The City of Weyburn is a dynamic and progressive municipality located in the heart of Southeast Saskatchewan. The City has a population of over 10,500 and a solid economic and community foundation upon which new opportunities are continuously built.

The Leisure Services Department is offering an exciting summer employment opportunity for three (3) students. The Fun in the Sun Program Leaders are key components to the Leisure Services Department as they ensure that the day to day operations of the Fun in the Sun Day Camp is run efficiently and that the safety of the participants is maintained.

The Fun in the Sun Day Camp Program Leader will be responsible to:
- Work in conjunction with other Program Leaders to plan, co-ordinate and facilitate quality of sport, culture and recreation activities for the Fun in the Sun Day Camp;
- Apply the High Five principals for healthy child development to the Fun in the Sun program;
- Ensure that all activities are designed and facilitated to meet the needs and abilities of the participants;
- Adhere to and interpret staff policies, practices and procedures of the Fun in the Sun Day Camp;
- Help all children ages 6-12 years develop intellectually, socially, physically and emotionally by creating opportunities for planned and spontaneous play;
- Act as a positive role model at all times.

Students hired must be at least 15 years of age, enrolled as a student at a secondary or post secondary school or institution.

Salary will commensurate as per the CUPE Local 90 contract.
