Under the direction of the Life Enrichment Manager, directs and implements programs to enhance the physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and spiritual development of the residents. Contributes to establishing new methods and policies in regard to improving leisure lifestyle and promoting retirement living.
Background / Qualifications:
The Recreation Assistant will have training in a field related to retirement living for active seniors. He/she will have experience in social and recreational programming, or a related discipline. He/she will be an innovative, creative individual with a keen interest in senior citizens and a proven capability of relating well to residents, their families, volunteers and the community at large.
A diploma in Therapeutic Recreation or equivalent experience, an Alberta Class 4 Drivers licence and Level 1 First Aid are required.
