As a key member of our communications team the Communications Officer is accountable for the implementation and delivery of SHEPPs general communications program, ensuring a consistent brand and message is conveyed to all audiences.
You will be responsible for developing and delivering all of SHEPPs general print materials and publications, and ensuring a consistent brand and corporate message by proof-reading, editing, and desktop designing materials to support all departments within the organisation. You will help build and maintain SHEPPs online identity by developing and managing content for SHEPPs public website and secure member portal. You will also coordinate the delivery of presentations to members, by preparing materials and managing logistics, and perform other related duties as assigned.
To succeed in this position you must have strong interpersonal and organisation skills and the enthusiasm to bring those skills to bear in the best service to our organisation and our members. Accuracy and attention to detail are critical.
Qualified candidates will possess a post-secondary degree or diploma in a communications-related field supplemented by three or more years of communications experience including writing and design for both electronic and print materials. You have demonstrated knowledge of desktop design principles, experience with Adobe InDesign, and are proficient in English with excellent writing, presentation and research skills. You are an extremely efficient team-oriented individual, capable of coordinating and accurately completing multiple tasks on time.
