Cameco is looking for motivated and ambitious individuals to join our site services team at the worlds second largest high grade uranium deposit, located at the Cigar Lake operation in northern Saskatchewan.
Reporting to the site services foreman, you will assist journeyperson scaffolders with the installation, maintenance, and repair of all temporary scaffolding on surface and underground. Through on the job training, work experience and technical education, you will be expected to progress to the journeyperson level. You will also assist with carpentry work and site services duties as required.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements of the position:
Minimum grade 12 diploma or equivalent and meet all qualification standards and be accepted for apprenticeship by the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission
Demonstrate through testing, an aptitude and potential to successfully complete the program
Results orientated with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Good organizational and communication skills
Able to work on surface and underground
Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Assets:
Industrial experience, ideally in a mine setting
