The construction Superintendent is expected to plan, organize and direct construction projects. Prepare construction and delivery schedules and monitor progress. Prepare progress reports and advise both the client and COO of progress and projected completion times throughout the stages of construction. Supervise and hire staff of qualified tradesmen and skilled labourers. Manage and supervise quality control and quality assurance. Establish and monitor a concrete division within the Company, including but not limited to training and hiring staff. Perform other duties, related to the title, as required.
The successful candidate must have at least 20 years of experience in construction, concrete construction, and infrastructure and project estimation. He/she must hold a certificate in Leadership for Safety Excellence, H2S Alive, First Aid & CPR, and have training in project estimation. The successful candidate must also have excellent record keeping skills, experience in project management, cost analysis and cost control. He/she must also be computer literate and have expert knowledge with Maxwell Pro Contractor Estimating software.
