Description

As a member of the interdisciplinary team, and under the general direction of the Director of Mental Health and Addictions, the primary goal will be to restore, maintain and enhance the recovery of people seeking help for addiction and/or addiction related issues by implementing various modalities of addiction recovery programs.  Responsibilities include providing informational programming as well as individual and group counselling sessions with clients.  This position will be expected to assess individual and group needs of clients and implement plans to help clients reach their goals.

To qualify you will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

- Diploma in Chemical Dependency Studies or equivalent which would be deemed acceptable to the Employer
- Experience working in a cross cultural setting
- Valid Saskatchewan driver's license

Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement.  Hours of work are 224/6 weeks (field hours).

Additional benefits include: annual education leave, relocation assistance, bi-weekly northern district allowance, retention bonus and one week of special northern leave upon the completion of each year of service.
