Description

PURPOSE: Reporting to the Senior Facilities Manager, the Maintenance Planner will be responsible for planning and preparing future projects ensuring that all farm facilities throughout the company are in sound operating condition, a positive work environment is maintained, OH&S, biosecurity and animal welfare is a priority and the budget is adhered to.
Responsibilities:
Maximize operating profit and equipment.  
Data analysis for more effective future planned maintenance  
Develop and Implement a Preventative Maintenance Program
Work with Maintenance Scheduler to use internal assets for maintenance projects.
Follow the purchasing policy, and work within purchasing limits for this role.
Use root cause analysis to develop proposals to include: rationale, rough costs and alternatives to provide solutions to ongoing systemic/repetitive issues.
Support training initiatives to ensure staff are properly trained on barn maintenance repairs, troubleshooting issues & emergency response.
Support planning initiatives and continuous improvement of the facilities
At all times maintain effective communication, develop and maintain effective working relationships with unit staff, barn Maintenance Technicians and other Central Maintenance staff.
Contribute to planning and budgeting process.
Participate in planning for the repair and/or replacement projects where required of any barn operating systems and/or components (feed systems, ventilation, etc.)
Other related duties
Experience:
At least 10 years of Maintenance, Construction or Trade Experience
Experience Managing Professional Trade Personnel
Experience Following/Developing preventative maintenance programs
Effective oral and written communication skills
The ability to work independently
A valid drivers license for the province of Saskatchewan
Strong leadership, analytic and interpersonal skills
Strong Organizational Skills
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
