Description

NorSask Forest Products is a 3 line stud lumber sawmill with operational capacities in excess of 150,000 Mfbm.

Your primary responsibility is that of a production line Heavy Duty Mechanic - troubleshooting and repairing equipment breakdowns and equipment that is operating out of specifications in a timely manner during the production shifts. You will perform regular preventative maintenance tours and make recommendations for repairs and replacements as observed. Also, there will be significant project work and equipment installations. There are regular opportunities for overtime for those who are interested.

At NorSask, we have a group of indentured Heavy Duty Mechanics in various stages of their apprenticeships and our journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic play a significant role in the training of these individuals for the future success of our company.

Qualifications:
-A valid Saskatchewan or interprovincial journeyperson ticket as a Heavy Duty Mechanic
-Preferably five years of industrial experience as a journeyperson
-Strong team player with excellent communication skills
-Excellent safety record
Assets:
-Maintenance experience in a sawmill environment
