Applications are invited for a tenure-track faculty position in Medical Oncology at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Small Animal Clinical Sciences beginning April 1, 2015, or when the successful candidate is available.
The primary responsibilities of the successful candidate include: high quality instruction in oncology to undergraduate and postgraduate veterinarians, participation and organizational responsibility in the clinical teaching and service programs of the Small Animal Clinic of the Veterinary Medical Centre, and scholarship and research in oncology. Extensive opportunities for collaborative research exist within the College and with the College of Medicine and Saskatoon Cancer Centre. Contributions to the continuing education of practicing veterinarians will be encouraged and expected.
Applicants must possess a DVM degree or its equivalent and must be eligible for licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Saskatchewan. The successful candidate should be a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Oncology) or have credentials acceptable to the ACVIM (Oncology) at the time the appointment becomes effective. Diplomate status in the ACVIM (Oncology) is required for tenure. Possession of an advanced degree is desirable.
The current salary range for an Assistant Professor is $88,798.00 to $112,678.00 and for an Associate Professor it is $106,708.00 to $130,588.00.
