Operate ships communications systems, including
radio, satellite, phone and teletype systems. Use
Naval visual communications systems, such a flags,
semaphore, and flashing light (Morse code). Use
cryptographic equipment, and conduct some computer
networking duties.
MUST BE A CANADIAN CITIZEN
16 to 56 years of age
Radio Operator Specific Skills
- Operate radio equipment
- Communicate with ships, aircraft and other remote operations
- Assist with maintenance of communications equipment
