Responsibilities: The General Manager of MXSync is the leader responsible for scientific and business visioning, planning and launch of an internationally competitive macromolecular crystallography data collection service that will support the current and future needs of multinational corporations (MNCs) and small-medium enterprises (SMEs). As the General Manager of the program, the successful candidate will be the strategic leader for the creation of multi-sector research partnerships by identifying world-class industrial science and technology opportunities. Working with various stakeholder groups, the successful candidate will create a business plan, science plan and operational plan for the program.
Qualifications: A relevant post-secondary degree is mandatory, with a graduate degree preferred (MSc, PhD and/or MBA), and a minimum of three to four years of related experience in the study and application of macromolecular crystallography is an asset. Prior experience in a leadership/management position with proven strategic capabilities is a must. The ideal candidate will demonstrate effective networking skills to develop and maintain positive stakeholder relations. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills are required, with proficiency in both written and spoken English. As a proven team player, you are a consensus builder with a strong results orientation.
Remuneration: This position offers a competitive base salary (range of $75,339 to $113,009) plus the potential for incentive-based compensation dependent upon the success of the overall program. A comprehensive benefits package, including supplemental health & dental, life insurance, and 4 weeks annual vacation is part of a competitive compensation package.
