MMMC is located in Wawota, SK a community in SE Saskatchewan. MMMC has been in operation for 3 years, with a new facilities. The facility can hang 42 sides of beef. MMMC is in the process of expanding the retail end of the business.
Moose Mountain Meat Cooperative (MMMC) is looking for a manager/meat cutter for a rural abattoir. Candidates must have knowledge of all aspects of running a rural abattoir, which include management, custom cutting, and slaughtering. Candidates skills must include excellent communication skills, professional customer service, and ability to work with others, ability to follow directions from the board, focus on product quality, and ensure food storage conditions are adequate.
Candidate must be willing to take or possess Food Safe Handling Course, and Health and Safety course.
Expected date to start is February 1, 2015 or negotiable.
Salary to be negotiated based on experience, but please state what salary expected.
