DESCRIPTION:
Install various types of insulation.
Install vapour barriers.
Operate and maintain equipment.
Load and unload vehicles with supplies and equipment.
Manually unload and stack semi trailer loads of insulation.
Work in various stages of construction.
Work in various weather temperatures.
Perform construction framing, demolition and reconstruction when required.
Assist in problem solving for call-back and warranty work.
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma
2 to 5 years experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Fiberglass andRoxulbattinstallation in exterior walls, ceilings and cantilevers.
Fiberglass andRoxulbattinstallation in sound walls and ceilings.
Fiberglass loose fill installation in flat and vaulted ceilings.
Applying Vapour barrier in compliance with the appropriate building code.
Applying vapour barrier in sound deadening systems.
Operating and trouble shooting the Polyurethane Spray Foam InsulationGracoReactor and the accompanying power generator.
Preparing mesh for and installing theWallBARsystem of insulation for exterior and sound applications.
Rigid foam and rigid fiberglass sheet installation to exterior walls, cantilevers and concrete surfaces.
Air compressor and stapler set-ups.
Operating an insulation blower for fiberglass andWallBARapplications.
Competent and safe use of scaffolds, planks and stilts.
Safe and appropriate use of propane powered construction heaters.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
Ability to work at heights.
Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Wood construction practices.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bondable.
Valid driver's license.
Own transportation / vehicle will be required for some job sites.
