Description

The Co-Manager is accountable to and will report to the Director of Rural Integration, Emergency Medical Services and ACAL. This position is responsible for the development of strategic workforce planning, including the models, frameworks and best practices to ensure SHR meets its regional strategic and operational objectives of having the right people in the right position with the right skills, knowledge and abilities. The incumbent will support a healthy working environment for Watrous and District Ambulance Services and provide the necessary direction and support to integrate into the existing Emergency Medical Response structure.

Experience:
Several years of related experience in health services preferably at a management level. Proven ability to work in a highly integrated working environment with a focus on safety.

Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in a health science related field (degree preferred). Newly-appointed managers will be expected to have an undergraduate degree by April 2017.
- Knowledge of best practices in Pre-hospital and ambulance services with clinical knowledge at an ACP level preferred.
- Knowledge of Community Paramedicine and mobile health service models.
- Registration with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics is an asset.
- Proven ability to work in a highly integrated working environment with a focus on safety.
- Demonstrated skill in the SHR leadership competencies.
- Several years of related experience in health services preferably at a management level Valid Driver's Licence.
- Prioritize competing tasks and responsibilities.
- Meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Develop effective communication and information systems.
- Superior skills in computerized application, with knowledge of Microsoft software applications.
