To support operational growth, at our Transmission Line Projects, Forbes Bros. Ltd. is looking for Qualified Journeyman and Apprentice Powerline Technicians.
Forbes Bros. Ltd. has been meeting the electrical infrastructure design construction and maintenance needs of utilities and industry throughout Canada and the world since 1976.
Requirements:
As the successful candidate you have: Lineman Trade Certification, 1st Period Apprentice, 2nd Period Apprentice, 3rd Period Apprentice, 4th Period Apprentice, Lineman Red Seal Certificate, or 3 to 5 years equivalent work experience.
Essential Job Functions (day to day responsibilities):
Install, maintain, remove and repair power lines and cables that run between transmission electrical systems,
Towers and poles (stringing/wirework).
Assemble, erect and maintain steel, wood or concrete poles, towers and guy wires.
Construct and maintain footings and bases for transmission towers and poles.
Additional Details:
These positions are full-time positions located in Southern Alberta, Northern Alberta and Fort McKay area. You will be required to have a valid driver's license and acceptable driver's abstract. Must be physically fit and able to work at heights as well as able to travel and work shift work. Most project schedules are 3 weeks on and 1 week off. We provide accommodations for out of town work, a meal allowance, a clothing allowance and more.
Compensation:
We offer competitive compensation including top wages of $50.00 per hour for Journeyman, with overtime paid at one and a half times the rate after 40 hours, Dental Benefits, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance Benefits, Medical Benefits, Pension Plan Benefits, and Vision Care Benefits
