Description

Located in Saskatoon and reporting to the Director, Environmental Affairs, responsibilities for this position include the following:

1.Collaborate with FCL departments and subsidiaries to identify sustainability Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the organization.
2.Work with FCL departments and subsidiaries to integrate sustainability KPIs into business planning processes and strategies.
3.Develop content and assist with the implementation of sustainability training programs for FCL and Retails.
4.Lead the FCL Environmental Sustainability Team and other individuals to develop and implement internal programs to create sustainability awareness and employee engagement.
5.Work closely with the Marketing and Communications department to identify and share corporate and retail sustainability initiatives through the use of social media.
6.Work with key stakeholders within the organization and subsidiaries to map FCLs supply chain process to develop strategies to identify and address risks and opportunities.
7.Participate on industry and sustainability related associations that offer sustainability assistance or benefit to FCL and Retail Co-ops.
8.Develop and maintain strong working relationships with NGOs, government agencies, external stakeholders and others to ensure that FCL remains informed on sustainability topics.
9.Build strong internal relationships and communicate developments in sustainability to incorporate sustainability strategies into FCLs business units.
10.Supervise and mentor the Sustainability Advisors.

The successful candidate will have a University degree in Science or Engineering and 5-8 years of strong working knowledge of the concepts of environmental sustainability. Experience in the development and conduct of scientific research. Experience developing and hosting training/adult education seminars.
