Sunrise Health Region requires a permanent, fulltime Family Physician for the Town of Kamsack.
Physicians must hold or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan and must maintain insurance/membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association.
The qualified candidate will work in the rural community and must legally be entitled to work in Canada.
The successful applicant may apply for the Rural Practice Establishment Grant Program offered through the Saskatchewan Medical Association. A return in service commitment is required.
Position Summary and Geographic Information:
The position works primarily out of the rural area; the medical clinics are modern, well organized and fully equipped. On call at the local hospital in a 1:4 rotation is required.
Kamsack is a vibrant community located in the east central part of the province of Saskatchewan, with a population of over 2,000 and services a trading area of approximately 20,000. The Town of Kamsack is about a one hour drive from the City of Yorkton and its Regional hospital and about a 10 minute drive to the popular Duck Mountain Provincial Park.
