You will be responsible for providing overhead and underground electric utility design and project estimating and management at our Regina location.
Design of underground and overhead electrical distribution systems
Voltage drop calculations, pull calculations, and overhead guy and pole calculations
Electrical and mechanical engineering calculations for underground and overhead systems
Off-site meetings and site checks
Project estimating and material take-offs
Project schedule management and tracking
Design coordination with customers, municipal authorities, other utilities & various project stakeholders
Technical mentor ship of Junior Engineers & Technologist
Technical review of designs produced by Junior Engineers & Technologist
Other duties as required
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical preferred) degree from a recognized university and registration or eligibility for registration as a professional engineer in Saskatchewan
Experience working in the electric utility or engineering consulting environment, EPCM of electrical distribution projects
Strong computer, problem-solving and analytical skills
Proficient English language skills, ability to develop strong business relationships and act in a professional manner
Strong collaborative skills and willingness to liaise with other disciplines (Marketing, Drafting, Construction, and Survey) to ensure projects are accurate, compliant, and reliable
Experience with AutoCAD, GIS, MS Office, CYME, Microsoft Project, and distribution design software
PLS-CADD or AGI32 would be considered an asset
Class 5 drivers license
