We are recruiting for one summer engineering position in our Hudson Bay OSB facility.
Key Functions:
Reporting to the engineering manager, the successful candidate would be responsible for various small mill projects, updating drawing database, meeting schedules and developing project execution plans. The student may act as a field coordinator for project team during mill shutdowns or planned outages. The role may also involve participation in multiple process improvement initiatives and energy reduction measures.
Requirements:
Students must be 18 years of age or older and have successfully completed Grade 12 or GED equivalent.
Need to be returning to post secondary following the work term. (proof of acceptance required)
Students must have successfully maintained a full time student status in an engineering post secondary education program.
The ability to follow safe work practices and procedures
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and communication skills
Well-developed planning and organizational abilities
Ability to function in multidiscipline project teams
Familiarity with standard Microsoft software
Key Assets
Experience with AutoCAD.
Project management or industrial experience.
Working knowledge of Maximo, SAP or another computerized maintenance management system would be beneficial.
