Description

Applications are invited for a permanent full time Tier I Service Desk Technician to commencing as soon as possible. The position will be based out of the Education Centre located just outside of the Regina city limits.

The Service Desk Technician will work under the direction of the Supervisor of Communications and Information Technology and is accountable for the effective delivery of IT services and solutions. The position requires the ability to work independently and as a team member. Responsibilities include providing timely and responsive Tier 1 technical support in the IT Service Desk, troubleshooting end user issues over the phone and through remote control sessions like Microsoft Lync.  Some travel to schools in remote locations may be required and a company vehicle is provided.

Qualifications include:
Bachelor Degree (B. Sc.) or Diploma in a computer-related discipline
A+ Certification or equivalent PC knowledge
Understanding of ITIL Methodologies and/or IT Best Practices
Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks in a Windows environment is essential
1-3 years of demonstrated technical expertise required
Organization and time management skills
