Position Summary:

The Network Services Specialist is accountable to the Manager, Network Services, for the delivery, planning, analysis, design, development, implementation, maintenance and support of the IP network services system as well as all related changes, enhancements and new initiatives.

Education and Experience:
2 year Diploma/Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field
Vendor certifications from Cisco
ITIL Certification is an asset
5  7 years managing a large scale enterprise network environment
Extensive knowledge and experience with the design and support of Cisco enterprise network solutions including switch (i.e. Nexus line, Catalyst 6500), router, security, network management, and wireless technologies.
Experience with security certificates (PKI)
Good understanding of VOIP and unified communications in a geographically distributed environment
Good relationship/team builder and networking skills with a variety of stakeholders
Strong communication skills
Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work independently
