Cowessess First Nation Health and Social Development is now accepting resumes for a Medical Transportation Driver, permanent, full time, 3 month probationary period.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Medical Transportation Driver is a support position and will be under the direct supervision of the Manager of Health & Social Development. The Medical Transportation Driver will be responsible for transporting clients of the Health and Social Development Department to their designated medical appointments as needed. They will also be responsible for ensuring that all safety precautions are taken and that the Medical Transportation of Clients Policy is followed accordingly.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a Class 5 Drivers license;
Must be presently receiving Social Assistance;
Must be cordial and of pleasant character and possess the ability to meet and greet the public in a professional manner;
Must be physically fit to assist those who require assistance in and out of a vehicle;
Will be required to develop and maintain a schedule to ensure timely attendance to appointments ;
Must possess basic knowledge of office procedures;
Must possess the ability to take direction and work with minimum supervision;
Must be patient and understanding to those who require special assistance;
Must be organized, punctual, dependable and reliable;
Must have First Aid/CPR Certification;
Must ensure that confidential matters remain confidential;
Must submit a drivers abstract from the last 5 years; and
Must submit drug screen testing and a criminal record check (Vulnerable Sector Check) with resume.
