Hours of Work:112.00 hours per 3 week rotation: 14 shifts of 8.00 hours

Job Summary:
The Early Childhood Mental Health Therapist reports directly to the Children's Therapy Program Manager. This position provides clinical services and therapeutic interventions to young children and their families referred for services through the Children's Therapy Program. The Early Childhood Mental Health Therapist collaborates with the child, family and other Sunrise Health Region team members as well as with community service providers.

Experience working with pre-school aged children and their families.Previous experience in therapeutic or clinical work setting an asset.

Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Psychiatric Nursing. Eligible for registration in their respective association in the Province of Saskatchewan.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to develop, evaluate and modify programming provided to clients
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to travel both within the region and provincially
Communication & Decision Making skills
Communication skills for interviewing, collaboration and support of a child and family centered approach.
Critical thinking skills
Demonstrated ability to provide clinical counseling for young children and families using a variety of treatment modalities; including but not limited to Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Behaviour Management, Play Therapy etc.
Knowledge of early childhood development.
Leadership & Organizational skills
Proficient assessment, counseling, and case management skills.
Time management skills
