Job Description

We are searching for a top-notch medical receptionist who will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of a high volume, fast-paced Head and Neck/Facial Plastic/Otolaryngology practice.

Responsibilities

Registering patients, booking appointments and operations appropriately, answering phone calls, triaging referrals as well as maintaining the tidiness and general appearance of the clinic.

Qualifications:
    Grade 12 graduate or equivalent required
    Graduate of a recognized Medical Office Administration program preferred.

Skill, Ability and Experience:

    Minimum 3 years of experience providing administrative support, preferably in a surgical practice.
    Knowledge of medical terminology required
    Computer skills: Fast and accurate keyboarding skills required (minimum 50 wpm). Must be proficient in the use of MS Office Suite of Products (Excel, PowerPoint and/or similar products).
    Recent experience as a Medical Receptionist is preferred.
    Recent experience with patient registration.
    Demonstrated strong, effective communication skills in managing confrontational, confidential and problem-solving situations, often as first contact on behalf of the surgeon. Work performed is confidential and sensitive in nature and therefore requires discretion and tact when dealing with patients and other staff.
    Excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail are critical.
