Description

Southern Industrial & Truck is currently seeking a Parts Manager to join our team.  We offer an excellent benefits package.

Job Description:
- Following all policies and procedures as outlined by management
- Work directly with Department Managers, General Manager and Ownership
- Review all parts department personnel time tickets and time sheets
- Manage open invoice report
- Meet sales volume and return on sales
- Promote dealership by calling on customers
- Deal with customer problems in a timely fashion
- Perform annual inventory count and audit
- Work with department managers and staff to promote dealership
- Work with all parts personnel, training provided by vendors
- Track all personnel training on excel spreadsheet
- Provide and help with quotes on parts to be used by the shop to customers and sales department
- Accomplish objectives through the use of planning, marketing, purchasing procedure, inventory control, staff utilization, merchandising, advertising and training
- Be in control of all department expenses

Qualifications and Skills:
- Warehouse and Inventory Management
- Minimum 5 years experience in parts industry
- Knowledge about heavy duty trucks and oilfield equipment parts
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Strong Leadership, Interpersonal skills
- High degree of product and technical knowledge
- Must be a team player with a strong sense of customer service
- Must be a self starter and motivated to influence and sell
- Must be able to handle competing priorities to meet deadlines
- Must conduct his/her self in a professional manner
- Must have superior problem solving skills to achieve a win-win solution

Qualifications that are WANTED in a candidate:
- Ability to use Microsoft programs/applications
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to communicate/negotiate and work with suppliers
- Strive for respect and teamwork within all departments
- Able to utilize manufacturer and supplier websites
