Description

The MLTC Office of Education is seeking a highly motivated, energetic individual to fill the full-time position of Program Innovation Coordinator.  

The Program Innovation Coordinator is responsible for the computer systems within the nine First Nation Schools in MLTC, overseeing installation, ensuring back-up systems operate effectively, purchasing hardware and software, providing the IS technology infrastructures for an organization and contributing to organizational policy regarding quality standards and strategic planning.

Required Education, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:  
  
- Candidate must have:  Bachelor's Degree in Technology; Master's Degree or commitment to begin graduate studies in an appropriate field.
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in computer software applications: MAC platform and Microsoft Software Systems or related field and several years experience working in a variety of platforms.
- Evidence of successful teaching of technology and/or work in a related field is desirable.    
- Experience in developing and maintaining school networks is desirable and a definite asset.
- Experience in working with First Nations' Schools & Communities and within Northern settings.
- Excellent communication skills (Verbal/Written); decision making skills; professional judgment skills: interpersonal skills, and organizational/time-management skills.
