Description

The Yorkton Tribal Council Child and Family Services (YTCCFS) Inc. is seeking a Program Assistant.

Qualifications:
Knowledge of Cree, Nakota and Salteaux culture and language as well as the political & social objectives of the member First Nations
Knowledge of the FSIN Indian Child and Family Support Act and Saskatchewan Child Welfare Act
Must possess a Certificate in Office Administration from a recognized training institution or the equivalent of training and work experience in this field
Ability to utilize computer hardware and software applications and other office equipment
Possess a minimum typing speed of 45 wpm
Demonstrate professional telephone etiquette
Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to respond clearly and courteously to inquiries from clients, other agencies and co-workers
Ability to manage, maintain and update various filing systems
Able to prioritize tasks in an environment with conflicting demands and changing priorities
Pass security screening and sign an Oath of Confidentiality
Possess a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
Able to work some evenings and weekends
Preference will be given to Aboriginal applicants.
