NorSask Forest Products is a 3 line stud lumber sawmill with operational capacities in excess of 150,000 Mfbm. Responsibilities include:
Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot, program and repair industrial electrical equipment and controls, electrical motors and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
Assist in the preparation of procedures and follow procedures in the course of their work.
Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications, and test electrical and electronic equipment and components.
Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
Continuously evaluate and control quality and safety processes and procedures.
Model and comply with all company policies and procedures.
Document changes in programming.
Qualifications:
A valid Saskatchewan or interprovincial journeyperson ticket as a journeyperson instrumentation technician
Preferably five years of industrial experience as a journeyperson
Proven track record of promoting and practicing a safe work environment
Strong team player with good communication skills
Strong computer skills
Electrician experience in a sawmill environment is an asset
Allen Bradley PLC experience is an asset
There may be an opportunity to apprentice in the electrical trade.
