Qualifications & Experience:
Requires a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
Requires BCLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, CTAS, N95 Mask Fitting Certification, and TLR Instructor courses.
Minimum 3-5 years recent clinical experience in an acute care environment is required.
Emergency/Intensive Care (Critical Care) nursing experience is required.
Other:
Experience with clinical information technology programs/equipment (preferred)
Experience in leading successful quality improvement projects is an asset.
Proficient use of computer, software, and peripheral equipment, i.e. Microsoft Office Suite(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Microsoft Project, Sharepoint, and Visio.
Proficient use of Sunrise Clinical Manager.
Travel between Prairie North Health Region sites may be required.
Focused attention to details is frequently required through the day and there are interruptions to work flow and deadline pressures on a daily basis.
Required to obtain instructor status for BCLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, Respirator Fit Testing, TLR(Transfer, Lift and Repositioning), WAVE Training, and any other courses as deemed necessary by the ER Nurse Manager.
Good attendance required.
Current registration with Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)

Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrates expertise in medical and critical care nursing, technical skills and psychosocial aspects of care.
Demonstrates will-developed critical thinking abilities and sound clinical judgement and the ability to maintain composure under stress. Also requires the ability to foster these skills in other staff members.
Demonstrates in-depth knowledge to assess and manage acute and chronically ill patients.
Demonstrates ability to do research and apply knowledge related to current best practice.
